The Blubuds Story - how this business was born

Here is the story behind Blubuds, and how we got started. A good friend of ours ordered on-line, a kit to make custom-fitted earbuds. He was very impressed with the results, since this transformed his favorite earbuds to such a secure fit that they never fell out (even when he was using exercise equipment at the gym), and were comfortable enough to wear for hours at a time. He even used the kit to make his Bluetooth phone headset a custom-fit model, since he wore it 8 hours a day for business, and comfort was essential. The problem in this happy story begins when one of the earbuds died, and quit producing any sound. So he bought a new set of earbuds, and went back to the website to order another custom-fit kit, this time for the new earbuds. But alas – the website was no longer there, only an advertisement that the domain name was available – for a price. He searched the internet using every key word he could think of, looking for the same product. He looked for custom-fit earbuds - earbud fit kit - i-pod fit earbuds - custom earbuds - earbud custom fitting - custom fitted earbuds - custom fit earpieces and everything else he could think of. But after being unable to find what he was looking for, he gave up. Then, over dinner one night, we discussed the lack of this great product, and the idea for was born.

Our names are Herb and Marlese, and we decided to try and fill this need in the market place. If custom fitted earbuds were this hard to find, somebody should do something about it! Lets be very blunt in describing the problem -- some people just find the out of the box earbuds either uncomfortable, or poor-fitting. The real problem is that most people do not know something vastly superior is available, so they just continue to use the old one-size-fits-all earbuds, thinking life is good. Its kind of like driving a 1952 40 hp Volkswagen, because nobody told you that luxury cars are now available. As long as you never saw or heard of a modern car, the VW might look pretty good, but after you drive a Corvette or a Lexus, the VW somehow loses its appeal. We want to help people make the same quantum leap in earbud fit and sound quality, so we put together a kit that solves two problems: Blubuds gives you a way to easily convert those standard one-size-fit-all earbuds into the fits only my ears, and fits my ears perfectly earbuds. Along with the fit and comfort problem solved, the sound quality is greatly improved. With most of the extraneous sound blocked out, the bass really booms, and your music will sound better than it ever has before.

After having friends test our product, they report that their earbuds have never been so comfortable as with Blubuds! They say that if they had been aware that such a great fit were possible, they would never have put up with the problem of my earbud is falling out, time to push it back into my ear again syndrome.
